This is an absolutely gorgeous antique coat from Turkmenistan made by the Tekke people it is called a Chyrpy. It is from my family’s collection. It’s all hand embroidered on a silk fabric, and it’s stunning! I consider it a collection piece for sure, but if worn, it could fit a large, or extra large. The colors are beautiful and it’s in great shape! I can’t see any holes or stains, but there is wear.

shivagypsy Hi I just wanted to let you know that this jacket is not from Syria . It is from Turkmenistan, from the Tekke people , it is called a Chyrpy. I have been collecting these for years. I thought you might like to know it’s true origin.
